LittleMan went to bed early tonight so DaddyMan and I could watch the Vice Presidential Debate.
We were sure PrincessGirl would busy herself with coloring, playing or otherwise finding Tomfoolery to engage in.
Instead, she sat on the sofa, criss-cross-applesauce, tallying the times she heard Sarah Palin say the word "that". After all "that" is one of "our sight words".
"That, t~h~a~t , that spells that." "Did you hear that lady say that?"
Know any other 5 year olds that were paying attention to the VP debate?
Song sung around the house ALL WEEK LONG was:
That
(Sounds like “Oh, Susanna”)
T-H-A-T, T-H-A-T, T-H-A-T spells “that.”
Well, I tell you that
Your dog is fat!
T-H-A-T spells “that.”
Thanks Heidi Butkus and Mrs. Incredible!

PRECIOUS!!! Mick's kid was working on the sight word, "Me" at our United Way meeting last week. Funny how they become obsessed with one word while that's "the word" to be studying! I love it that Karsen was watching the debate, though. That's clever.
Times THAT was used: 3
Sounds like she paid better attention than I did. I was too distracted by Gap.com. OOPS.
How is your daughter voting in the upcoming election?
Greg - I'm pretty sure she'll pick pink and purple. That is what she always votes for so I don't see it changing in November.
T-H-A-T's my girl!!!
COOKIE
sassy, love those sassy girls
yet another reason to love elementary school... songs that have fat in them.
